Lets be honest most of us took a peek at the photographs on the internet of Prince Harry stripped at a party in the States, I did and was bitterly disappointed to be honest.
I took a peek not that I was concerned about royal security protocols, or that he was disgracing the nation, in fact to be perfectly honest it was none of my business at all, I just wanted to have a look to see what I could see – after all he is pretty ‘buff’, and a Royal Prince. Unfortunately, for the Republicans in the UK, Judge Roy Snyder has passed a sentence of ‘boys will be boys’ and almost whatever Prince Harry does will be pronounced as such. He is a genuinely popular guy and to be honest I would prefer Harry as a future King than his brother, then again that could be treason!
In the UK the Press Council, perhaps in the light of Leveson Inquiry, has said that the Prince’s party should be respected; it is Leveson that was looking into phone hacking, intrusions, and all round unprofessionalism in the UK media industry, one of the main culprits for this gross intrusion was Rupert Murdoch who was forced to close down the News of the World in the light of the hacking inquiry, and it was another News International paper that decided that the photograph fo Harry’nekid as a jay bird’ was in the public interest.
I am not sure how, apart from the possibility of a royal butt shot, that this story can be in the public interest.
What many be of public interest is that some sources on the internet says he lost $50 million gambling, well as long as that has come out of his own pocket then I am sure that is not any of my business either – and I cannot vouch for the source. If the source is true then we have a pretty serious problem about things being covered up, if not then we have problems about regulation of the internet.
It says something that the puritanical UK has to treat this as ‘news’ in a bid to be shocking and boost sales of a flagging industry. It also points to the decline of the print media, and the rise of the digital age, which i think we have been in for some time, and that it cannot now compete with digital media, where I photo can do world-wide in a matter of minutes, where a story can be blogged by any two-bit hack with an internet connection.
Judge Roy Snyder from the Simpson always let Bart Simpson of the sentence of ‘Boys will be Boys’, and Prince Harry flies Apache helicopters on the front line, having served in Afghanistan – give the bloke some slack, in fact give him a lot of slack

It is not treason to suggest that the line of succession should be different. It is “Sedition”. But the last prosecution was 1972, and the offence was decriminalised in England in 2009. Lucky you!
I will sleep easier tonight
